Making Internal Trade Simpler And Easier

With a goal to transform the ease of movement of goods within and across regions in Nigeria and to deliver tangible impact to Nigerian businesses facing bureaucratic and regulatory challenges, reforms were implemented by the the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC), in collaboration with the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) and the Trademarks Patent and Designs Registry (Commercial Law Department) (TPDR).

REFORM OUTCOMES

As at December 2017, NAFDAC cleared all pending backlog of over 5,000 applications

Between July 2017 and June 2018, Trademark registry has published 90,000 outstanding journals and certificates
